Pimento cheese is a creamy, tangy, peppery dip or spread with a bit of a chunky texture. It's perfect for pairing with crackers or as a spread on a sandwich. Our Creole Spice adds a little extra savoriness and herbaceousness to this snackable favorite.
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded in a food processor or with a grater
¼ cup mayonnaise*
3 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened at room temperature
4 oz jar of pimento peppers, drained, rinsed, and finely diced
2 teaspoons Oaktown Spice Shop Creole Spice
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons Tabasco, Frank's, or Scarlet Fire Hot Sauce
Pacific flake or kosher salt to taste
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients with a silicone spatula until well incorporated.
Transfer to a container and store in the fridge for up to one week. Serve with crackers or smothered on a burger.
